Strange Matters is a literary magazine of new and unconventional thinking covering a wide range of intellectual topics. The coop publishes issues regularly in print and digital format and also publishes new digital content on a rolling basis. The coop just published its first magazine earlier this summer 2022. Stange Matters and its readers acknowledge that other kinds of worlds are possible, but the question is how we get there. The coop believes there is a gap between media and on-the-ground activism. Strange Matters plans to not only cover these untold stories but also theorize how change can be achieved.
The magazine itself is 300 pages and split up into three distinct sections. First, the Front Pages are dedicated politics economics and planning. In the middle is the Futon, a resting spot for shorter lighthearted pieces. Finally, the Back Pages are dedicated to culture meaning and delight.
