Santa Fe Institute (SFI) is a non-profit organization based in New Mexico with a mission to search for order in the complexity of evolving worlds. SFI's researchers endeavor to understand and unify the underlying, shared patterns in complex physical, biological, social, cultural, technological, and even possible astrobiological worlds. SFI works to reveal the unseen mechanisms and processes that shape these evolving worlds. They seek to use this understanding to promote the well-being of humankind and life on earth. SFI researchers study system thinking and try to tackle the world's complex problems.
SFI is constantly conducting new research on the topic of system thinking. SFI also post recent news and innovations made by the researcher on campus or on their website in the SFI newsletter. Most importantly SFI is a higher education learning institute, they are looking to teach the next generation of complex systems science leaders and thinkers.
