FreeFrom is a grassroots nonprofit organization in the U.S. that is dedicated to helping survivors of violence achieve economic justice and long-term financial stability. Supporting the movement against gender-based violence in centering economic security for all survivors, FreeFrom is reframing Intimate Partner Violence (IPV) as a structural economic issue that intersects with other systems of oppression.
The FreeFrom team is made up of queer, trans, im/migrant, and BIPOC survivors. The nonprofit envisions a world in which all survivors can build the wealth and financial security necessary to support their individual, intergenerational, and community healing—enabling them to thrive.
Creating tools, resources, and environments to support survivors’ collective economic and community power, FreeFrom is building an ecosystem of support to ensure that survivors have the resources to get safe, heal, and prevent future harm.
